1. About These Terms

By using this website you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.

Clubs that install Covelant cameras do so under a separate agreement with Covelant. Before each recording session in the Covelant app, the session initiator is shown a recording consent notice and must accept it. Where that notice or a club agreement differs from these Terms, the notice or agreement applies to the matter it covers.

For information about how Covelant collects and processes personal data, please read our Privacy Policy.

2. The Covelant Service

Covelant provides an AI camera system for padel courts and a mobile app. Cameras installed at participating clubs record matches automatically. Players use the Covelant app to select their court camera, start a recording, and receive their full match, performance insights and highlights.

Information on this website about the camera, the app and their features is provided for general information. Prices and the scope of an installation are agreed individually with each club on the basis of a quote.

3. Using This Website

You may use this website for lawful purposes only. You must not:

  • Interfere with the operation or security of the website or attempt to gain unauthorised access to it.

  • Copy, scrape or reuse substantial parts of the website by automated means without our permission.

  • Submit false information, or information about another person without their permission, through our forms.

If you send us a request through the contact form or subscribe to the newsletter, you confirm that the details you provide are your own and are accurate.

4. Recording Sessions in the Covelant App

When you start a recording in the Covelant app, you initiate a video recording session that captures you, your opponents, and anyone else present on or near the court. As the session initiator you are the session controller for that recording. This means:

  • You must ask your opponents and any other participants for consent before pressing record. Do not begin recording without their agreement.

  • You must stop the recording when play ends or if any participant asks you to.

  • You must not share any footage, highlights, or clips that include identifiable individuals without their consent.

  • You must only use the Covelant app for lawful, personal, non-commercial purposes.

Covelant is not responsible for recordings initiated without proper participant consent. This responsibility rests with the session initiator.

The consent given in the app applies to one recording session only. Each new session requires you to confirm these responsibilities again.

5. What Is Recorded and Who Can See It

During a recording session, the Covelant system collects video footage of the match or training session, performance analytics derived from that footage (player positions, stroke detection, ball tracking, rally statistics), automatically generated highlight clips, and the match metadata you provide in the app.

  • You have full access to your own recordings and analytics.

  • People you choose to share with, such as coaches or teammates, can view content you explicitly share within the app.

  • Covelant personnel can access recordings on a strictly limited and authorised basis, for technical support, service improvement, and AI model development only.

  • Club management can access recordings where applicable, under the joint data controller arrangement with your club.

Your footage is not publicly accessible or visible to other app users by default. Covelant does not sell your data or use it for third-party advertising purposes.

6. Use of Game Footage for AI Training

By accepting the recording consent in the app, you agree that game footage recorded during your sessions may be used by Covelant to train, test, validate, and optimise its artificial intelligence and machine learning models. This includes models for player movement and positioning, ball tracking, shot classification, and highlight detection.

  • Footage used for AI training is processed securely and accessed only by authorised Covelant personnel.

  • Where technically feasible, footage used for model development may be anonymised or aggregated to reduce the identifiability of individuals.

  • This footage will not be sold or shared with third parties for their own AI development purposes.

You may withdraw your consent for future use of your footage for AI training at any time by contacting Covelant at info@covelant.com. Such a request may limit certain features of the service. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

7. Sharing Highlights and Clips

You may download and share your own highlight clips and derived content for personal, non-commercial use only. Before sharing any content that includes your opponent or other identifiable individuals, you must ensure you have their consent to do so.

Covelant grants you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable licence to use and share derivative content generated from your sessions within these boundaries.

8. Video Streaming and Infrastructure

Covelant uses Mux, a third-party video infrastructure platform, to livestream camera footage during recording sessions and to deliver video, highlights and clips in the app. By using Covelant’s recording and playback features, you also agree to Mux’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

Covelant prioritises European infrastructure for storage, hosting and AI processing. The providers we use and the safeguards that apply are listed in our Privacy Policy.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version is always available on this page. Changes to the recording consent are shown in the app before your next recording session.
